The service

WroteByAI provides a free, limited version of the AI-writing checker operated by HalluSpot. Results estimate how much of a text shows patterns of AI-generated writing. A result is an indicator only: it is not proof of authorship, not a finding of misconduct, and must not be used as the sole basis for any academic, employment, or legal decision about a person.

Acceptable use

Only submit text you wrote, own, or have permission to check. Do not submit confidential or personal material that is not yours. Automated bulk use of the free checker is not permitted; the full service on halluspot.com is the route for higher volumes.

Availability and liability

The free checker is provided “as is”, without warranties, and may be unavailable or rate-limited. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HalluSpot is not liable for decisions made on the basis of a result.
